Based on your standards, consider mixing the types writing for practice and pre teaching. An example could be 1 persuasive writing button, 1 non fiction writing button, 1 fiction button, and 1 opinion button for each prompt. Considering giving the students options for their writing centers makes them more interested in their writing topic. Or, make it more fun by deciding on some of the writing topics together.
Individual Writing Support: For students that are auditory learners, allow them to speak their idea or sentence into the recordable buttons. Then, allow them to play it back as their work o their writing activity. Since it only records thirty seconds at a time, students will have to focus on small sections at a time before moving forward. This strategy will also help students that struggle with writing as it allows them to focus on one section at a time.
